What is CTE?
Career and Technical Education (CTE) combines rigorous academic coursework with real-world technical knowledge and skills. Aligned with state standards, these programs provide clear paths to postsecondary education, workforce training, and high-demand careers.

Silverado Media Academy
The Silverado Media Academy Experience — A Career and Technical Educational program that focuses on all the facets of modern media while providing industry standard training in broadcast, video editing/production, filmmaking, graphic design, social media marketing, photography, web design, podcasting and more. Available in two- and four-year strands, students can earn up to six free college credits for completing both two-year course strands. Students will also learn Workplace Readiness Skills and Hireability Standards, which prepare them for their future career, no matter the industry they choose beyond high school.
CTE Highlights

Kolt is an exceptional example of our program's finest. He will be the inaugural Silverado Media Academy finisher when he graduates next year as the first student who took Video Production 1 and 2 as a freshman and sophomore, and then is completing Multimedia Communications 1 and 2 as a junior and senior. He will earn six college credits upon graduation.
